What types of animals do you provide care for?
We provide in-home services for dogs, cats, and select exotic species. If you have an exotic pet, please contact us in advance to confirm service availability and species-specific considerations.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve the Denver metro area. Appointments outside this region may be accommodated based on availability and may include additional travel fees.
Do you accept emergency cases?
Homeward Paws does not provide emergency services. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately.
Do you diagnose medical conditions?
No. Homeward Paws provides technician-led services under veterinary authorization. We do not diagnose medical conditions or replace veterinary examinations. All treatment plans are directed by your pet’s veterinarian.
How do you ensure the safety and comfort of pets during visits?
As a licensed Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician, we follow professional handling, sanitation, and documentation protocols during every visit. Our approach prioritizes low-stress handling, structured treatment plans, and collaboration with your veterinarian when applicable.
Can I schedule regular visits for ongoing care?
Yes. Recurring appointments can be arranged for laser therapy maintenance, nursing support, medication administration, or ongoing care plans as directed by your veterinarian.
Do I need to prepare anything before a visit?
Prior to your first appointment, proof of a current rabies vaccination is required. For laser therapy services, written veterinary authorization must be obtained before treatment can begin.
We recommend having a quiet, comfortable space available to allow for focused and stress-reduced care.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards securely processed through Square. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
– Appointments require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling.
– Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to be present at the scheduled appointment time, may result in a $50 cancellation fee.
– Travel fees are non-refundable once the technician has arrived at the appointment location.
– Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future booking requests.

Laser Therapy Questions
Do I need veterinary authorization for laser therapy?
Yes. Written veterinary authorization is required prior to initiating laser therapy services in accordance with Colorado regulations. We are happy to coordinate directly with your veterinarian.
How far in advance should I schedule laser therapy?
Laser therapy appointments require 48 – 72 hours’ notice to allow time for veterinary authorization and scheduling confirmation
How long does a session take?
Most laser therapy sessions are approximately 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and your veterinarian’s authorization.
Will my pet need sedation for laser therapy?
No. Laser therapy is non-invasive and typically well tolerated without sedation. Most pets remain awake and relaxed during treatment.
What happens if my pet becomes stressed during a visit?
If a pet becomes excessively stressed or unsafe to handle, the visit may be paused or rescheduled. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always prioritized.
Do you work directly with veterinary clinics?
Yes! We are happy to coordinate with your pet’s veterinarian for laser therapy authorization and treatment updates when appropriate.
How do you handle sanitation between homes?
Equipment is cleaned and disinfected between appointments following professional veterinary sanitation procedures and standards.
